http://www.fmod.org has been recommended several times. Never used
it, personally.

Is there a way to play mod-music in .NET? I know in the standardlibraries
there is nothing for mod-music but does anybody know of a free third party
component that can be used for that?

Yes I heard of fmod too. To bad that there is no .NET wrapper for it yet.
If there isn't, somebody should write one. Hopefully it is not me :)

BASS (http://www.un4seen.com/), either use nBASS or the VB.NET API.
