As Cor points out, adding the link or button on an existing app is a change
to the app. So, if you have a dozen apps that you want to make this button
available on, you would have to change 12 applications. This may not be
what you want.
What isn't clear: how you plan to tie these comments to the (a) application
being used, and (b) any data context in play at the time. In other words:
what I don't know is this: do you need to collect text in general, or do you
need to collect text because the user is using a cash drawer system and is
accessing customer account 0123456789?
If you can expect the user to enter all of the information, then you can
simply put a shortcut on the screen somewhere and the user can click the
shortcut and start your app up, enter their text, and be done. If, on the
other hand, your app cares what other apps are running, and what data is in
them, then this information has to be available somewhere. This particular
requirement is difficult and expensive in the extreme.
Without knowing more about what your app does, I'm hard pressed to offer any
assistance.
