New to J Script -- dotnet jscript

I'm new to j-script with a couple of questions.
I have a function (its a stop watch) where when I hit a stop button I want
to exit the function that is incrementing the timer.
I think this should be possible but I'm not familiar enough with j-script
yet to be able to figure this out.

There are tons of examples on the net.

Make sure to see those first before you try
to invent a .NET clock that goes backwards,
or a mere glorified copy of those.
