Visual Studio 6 Under Windows 2003? -- vb.net controls

Can someone give me guidance about whether Visual Studio 6 should install
and run VB 6.0 correctly under Windows 2003? We have a ton of problems
getting this install to work, so many that it almost looks like they are not
compatible.

The most difficult thing at present is that after the Visual Studio 6
installation there is no uninstall program!! Can someone guide me is there
a manual way to invoke the uninstaller from the command line, and are we
going to need to resort to a system backup to recover from this?

You will get better response if you post this to a VB6 newsgroup.
This is a VB.Net newsgroup. Try comp.lang.basic.visual.misc or
microsoft.public.vb. Those seem to be the most active VB6 (and lower)
newsgroups.
