I have a PocketPC project that I'm trying to do development work on for a
company with an existing project. They're using Windows Mobile 2003 Second
Edition Version 4.21.1088.
In particular, I'm unable to install the necessary development
tools/libraries for .NET Compact Framework 1.0. The project uses some In The
Hand libraries that reference the .net CF 1.0 libs, like system.data.common.
My Visual Studio 2005 installer fails to install .NET Compact Framework 1.0
SP3, therefore I have no libraries to use as references to the project and I
am unable to build the project.
I have tried installing the .NET Compact Framework 1.0 SP3 stand alone
installer but that doesn't install the .NET Compact Framework 1.0 dll's like
system.data.common.
I have no idea how to get them to install correctly, any help would be
appreciated.
I would also like to know how I can get new VS 2k5 SE install CDs that don't
have the errors if they're available.
I'm using Windows XP SP2.
