Is it possible to check if a data table is created?

E.G.
If not exists(DataTable("Basket")) then
Dim Table1 As DataTable
Table1 = New DataTable("Basket")
End

If not exists(DataTable("Basket")) then
'Work with existing datatable.
End

Any help is appreciated.
