I am trying to upgrade a program I wrote with VB6 to .net (Using the
2005 Express Edition Beta). When I try to upgrade I get an error:

Upgrade failed: Exception occurred: Could not load referenced
component:
MSADODC.OCX
COMCT332.OCX
COMDLG32.OCX
MSCAL.OCX

I looked around and found the cause is noted by Microsoft:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318597

Can someone help me actually fix this please?

Thanks,
JohnHart NO[at]SPAM Online.Microsoft.com.

Hi Josh,

Currently the only solution for this problem with the Express Beta version
is to install Visual Basic 6.0 on the same machine you're upgrading on.

Sorry I don't have a simpler solution for you.

If I sent you the project file would you be able to bring it up to
..net for me. I really hate to redevelop this application from
scratch. It is only a few forms, but still work I don't want to redo.

Thanks,
