Anything is a guess at this early stage, but as I have software similar to
the Roxio product installed on PC's with VS 2005 and no issues (Nero), I'll
venture an opinion.
Roxio has a long and sordid history of creating software products (primarily
EZ CD Creator and its progeny) that break when new OS versions, major OS
patches, etc. are released. Invariably, Roxio has been quick to point at
Microsoft as the villain. Inevitably, it turns out to be Roxio and customers
are advised that they must "upgrade" to a new Roxio version to solve the
problems.
What, one might ask, is so unique about Roxio software that these issues
arise? Certainly not functionality, as competing products don't suffer from
the same problems.
Try Nero or another competitor, you'll be glad you did.
