vb.net upgrade : .NET Reliable??

Have a data application written in VB6 and has worked flawlessly for years.
Am trying to keep myself upto date and slowly converting it to VB.NET via
Visual Studio 2002.
Not at all impressed with the ADO.NET as has screwed up data because a
checkbox could not deal with a Null when creating a new record. Am now
having the same problems with a combobox. Have corruped my data twice in 2
days, using VB.NET and have lost confidence to send any .NET application out
to my cash paying customers.
Is it really worth converting to .NET??
Is it robust enough for real world applications??
Should we stick with solid, reliable VB6??

Kevin,

Take a look at the .NET 2005 betas. Beta 2 is "feature complete" and
supposedly stable. Also, VB 2005 is a far better upgrade for those of us
still working in VB6.

As for upgrading an existing application, I wouldn't bother unless you are
either doing a major rewrite or there is a feature you must absolutely have
in the new version of VB. VB 6 isn't going anywhere despite the MS
marketing hype.
