I'm trying to install the espress version on my sons computer for school. I
chose a drive with plenty of space but the install fails because it is trying
to shove 1.3 G into the 400 M free on drive C:. How do I get it to stop

if you dont already have the .net framework version 2.0 then it has to add
that to your system files, which are on drive C.

I think the issue is installer temp files needed to rollback the
installation, and I believe the answer to the original question is no,
there's nothing you can do to change that - they have to go on the system
drive.
