Here's the latest Platform SDK that I can see:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A55B6B43-E24F-4EA3-A93E-40C0EC4F68E5&displaylang=en I have a previous version installed in directory
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDK
for use with VC++6 and VC++7.1, though for some reason I didn't notice yet
if VC++8 is using it.
VC++8 includes some kind of SDK which I have in this directory:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0
but as you say, that isn't the Platform SDK.
I have a ton of headers in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\include
