hi there
with the introduction of .net technology, it seems that client-side
application, like appplet, is no longer encouraged, but web form is
everywhere, whcih is server-side. but in some cases, client-side application
is still very useful. in this connection, j++6.0 is very powerful in
developing web based client-side application. regreatly, i didn't see the
same features in .net languages. how should i do that?

best regards

wang

J# Browser Control or a normal .net winforms application.

The problem with running apps in a web browser is that you could get a
problem with different browser etc. That is the old way in my opinion.

The new "Click once" and ".net Web apps" looks much cooler than running apps
in a Web browser.

Please watch Jamie Cools video:

"Click once" is a very cool demo. The question is can a J# application run
in that environment? If the J# redistributable can download the first time
the J# app is run then is should be possible. Hopefully that will be the
case.

Mike,

J# applications can be run from Web Browsers like any other .Net Windows
Forms application. The only thing is you need to have the J#
redistributable installed.
