dotnet distributed apps:
Was there a solution to the DataGrid causing the "viewstate is invalid for
this page" error that Drew reported on October 8th, 2003. We have five
installations of an application and everything works fine at four of the
sites. The 5th site constantly gets the error message. They are not using
a web farm. The application is strictly a read-only application for viewing
data. The problem did occur after the client started applying various
microsoft and 3rd party updates to their system.

<<I have a datagrid returning a very large amount of rows as
a list of parts. It's set up to use paging, it works
correctly for the first couple of clicks, but then I get
the following error:

"The viewstate is invalid for this page and might be
corrupted."

Is this because the viewstate has gotten too big? Anybody
seen this or know of a way to work around it (and keep
paging).

Thanks

You may take a look at following article to see if it address the problem:

FIX: "The View State Is Invalid for This Page and Might Be Corrupted" When
the View State Contains Objects That Have Long Decimals
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=812399

Also, I suggest also implement the fix in follow articles:
