dotnet distributed apps: What downloader are you using and what error are you getting? I'm using the
UNC downloader that comes with the quickstart examples and am not having any
problems. Are you using the BITS downloader? Perhaps the .config extension
is protected or not associated with ASP.NET. Check out this article to
check:

Thanks,

Sam

If it is a server configuration issue, then you'll have to ask your ISP to
configure the server to allow you to download files with the extension
'.config' and as you stated it won't matter what version of the BITS
downloader you have. As a test, can you simply try to access a file with
the '.config' extension on your site from your browser and see if you are
able to access the file or if you get an error.

Thanks,

Sam

I don't know the configuration of the server since it is hosted in my ISP.
If it is caused by the server config, the problem won't be solved no matter
what downloader I use, right?
But how can I download the .config file of my application? It is important
as the version no. is inside.
Thanks,
Ken
