visual studio .net debugging : VSNET2005 - Debug: Invalid Handle

Every time I try to run any project with debug (F5 and not CTRL+F5) I get
error message:

Title: Microsoft Visual Studio
MSG: Error while trying to run project. Unable to start debugging. The
binding handle is invalid.

This goes with any project (just a Win-Form, no controls, no Data Cnn, no
nothing else). And all these projects complie & run perfectly OK when using
CTRL+F5 (without debug).

My MDM is running, I can't see where this error could be originated.
I installed VS2005 (Pro) on XPSP2 with existing installation of VSNET2003
and pre-installed SQL2005 Standard. There has never been any Beta products
on this system (no residue). Language: C#. I did re-run VSNET2005 setup in
maintenance more ("repair") and there is no change.

VSNET is not "gracious" enough to log some more specific info in any of the
system's logs, I can't find any answer in KB (most of them related to
"invalid handle" are irrelevant to what's happening here).

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this thing? I'd appreciate any help
(before I go through complete uninstall... never liked doing this + can't
afford getting rid of VSNET2003 - is this perhaps the reason for the

Oleg:

Big thanks. this was right-on!

Now I have to say this:

I'm totally p..'d-off about it, I have NEVER had to enable Terminal Services
in order to debug (?!?!). I never allow this unnecessary, useless service
opening security holes to run on my systems.

Needless to say I'm absolutely amazed that once Microsoft found "disabled
Terminal Services" the reason for not being able to debug (locally) in VS2005
they just closed the issue (?!).

This is plain INSANE. I consider it an unresolved bug. In my opinion nobody
with common sense (and proper level of knowledge) in security area would
accept this kind of stuff.

What else are they going to tell us to run on our systems ?
