visual studio .net debugging: I just got up and running on some new hardware and for the life of me
I can't get Edit and Continue to work.

I've seen some conflicting comments/opinions on whether or not 64-bit
E&C is possible at all, and none have been specific about things like
web projects and hosting them in IIS vs. the default Visual Studio
Development Server (Cassini).

So, can anyone out there Edit & Continue in this scenario?
64-bit + Vista. Project is a Web Application. Hosting on Cassini
(not IIS). Launched Vista "as admin".

I can debug, but can't edit. The usual error is "Changes are not
allowed when the debugger has been attached...". I've tried tweaking
the Configuration Manager to explicitly build for x64, as some have
recommended, but then I run into different issues (breakpoints not
even being hit).

Thanks in advance,

James

James,

Try checking the settings for Edit and Continue:

Go to Tools >> 'Options...'. Navigate to the 'Debugging' >> 'Edit and
Continue' TreeView node. Check your settings there.

Hope this helps,
