Hi Henry,
Only those topics that have a corresponding entry in the Table of Contents
can be synchronized. In your case, I've tested the page you mentioned and
it seems there's no entry for it in the TOC. That's why the "Sync with
Table of Contents" button is disabled.

That's what I've told you.
My perception since years has been, that once in a while there is a document
in the library which cannot be sync'd.
This means, that there may be hidden treasures in the library that you will

Once in a time I cannot Sync the found content on the right to the
Contents-Tree on the left side. The respective button (with its two green

Thanks. I'm pretty sure that it is related to the services running since the
problem went away when I tried the suggestion in the post I included which
basically starts the OS in some sort of safe mode. Your suggestion of
holding down the shift key while inserting the DVD will most likely so... more >>

Based on my experience, such hang issue may be related to your Operate
System Environment (Antivirus, or Services).
I'm afraid to say it is hard to troubleshooting such issue in Newsgroup.

I was trying to load the MSDN Library April 2007. I put the disk in my DVD
drive (IBM Thinkpad T43p) and nothing happened. I then opened a console
window and tried dir'ing the D: drive, that hung. The machine afterwards was

assembly's file name by default. You can change the XML documentation file
name manually in the *.*proj file.

VS2005 onto it and (only) installed the latest MSDN Library DVD. I

I've installed VS.Net 2003 on my machine and can't get the installation of
the MSDN to work correctly. When it trys to load it, I get a popup that
looks like it's listing the options for the installer and won't install it.

Just put it into the shared folder for all users. Then everyone has
access to those files.

Printing anything using Microsoft Document Explorer prints the documents
with the nodes collapsed. This makes printing pretty useless because most
of the information is hidden when nodes are collapsed. Is there a way to
properly print so that all text gets printed?
