How to make a system more John

visual studio .net enterprise tools: Hi all,

Just want to get various opinions here.

We have 2-tier system (front-end & DB) that has a front-end MDI app written
in C#.NET and all the data routines written as stored procs in a SQL Server
DB. So the data tier (the 3rd tier) is actually in the DB.

My question to the group is...

If I wanted to make this product in such a way that a company that this is
sold to could integrate it with their own intranet site and THEY could
reproduce the front-end but call our data routines, how would you suggest it
be done ?

Normally, you'd probably write something like an "SDK" for the implementing
company's developers to use. But with the advent of web services, I thought
I'd ask the group.

We're trying to make this as flexible as possible for the implementing
company to be able to put their own web front end on it.

My thought is to make web services that they can call from whatever they
want to use for development and be able to get at the data that way.

Any comments or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John
