Hi ,

I have a web application that I would like to test using microsoft ACT.
When I want to record the sequence of web pages using "record a test" option
I am getting the following error on typing the URL of my web application,

"You are not authorized to view this page
HTTP 401.2 - Unauthorized: Logon failed due to server configuration
Internet Information Services"

Thanks,

I have the same error. I haven't resolved it yet. I bet your ASP.NET app
is using impersonation and you have anonymous access turned off on your VDir.

I can only guess that the "recording agent" is not using your credentials.
I know how to get it to use specific credentials when the test is executed,
but not when it's being recorded.

Any help would be most appreciated!

Thanks, Terry

Hi Kavitha

Apparently this behavior is by design. I didn't like that either.

There is a workaround... See

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;322032

Hope this helps, Terry

Hi Terry,

I tried using this workaround earlier but did not help me.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Thanks,
Kavitha
