Error when creating a web project - not running asp.net 1.1

visual studio .net general: Hi there

Hope that some one can help. I am new to VS.net.
Recently installed VS2003 Professional onto a PC running
Windows 2000 server with SQL2000. Win2K has SP4 applied
and SQL2k has SP3a applied and MDAC 2.8.
After installing VS2003 Pro on the same machine when try
to create a new project - Web application, it say "VS.net
detected that the specified Web Server is not running
ASP.Net version 1.1......". I have tried reinstalling
VS2003, run asp_regiis.exe and follow some of the help
suggest solutions but no luck with this.
If any one come across this please help. Thanks

Do you have KB article 822925 installed?

i've tried to install the file but strangely give me an
error msg saying that the update requires IE 6.0 to be
installed. but in my machine IE 6.0 SP1 is already
