visual studio .net general:
Hi all

I have complied a setup program using VS.Net in which i am deploying .net framework,MSDE 2000A, and my web application
For deploying MSDE i used MSDE BootStrap tool. While installing, my setup checks for .net framework,MSDE and my web application. If any of these component was not installed my setup installs it.

But problem is that my setup program is not listed in Add/Remove program in control pannel

I check all the settings in my setup application, they are okay. I mention Add/Remove Programs Icon, Product Name,Manufature etc

One more problem is that when I try and reinstall the same it asks for that the proggram is already there want to repair/uninstall. When I uninstall it and again install it then it starts showing the proggram in add/remove list

Please suggest me what will i do, Very Very urgent

Thanks in advance

Bunt

Let me get this straight; the first time you install the application on your
machine it doesn't show up in the Add or Remove Programs Control Panel
applet, but the app is still installed. On a second run of the setup, you're
asked to remove or repair the existing installation, which is okay as it has
been installed. If you then remove the app, and run setup a third time, you
can re-install the app and this time it shows up in the Add or Remove
Programs Control Panel applet? Have you tried this on another machine, and
if so, does it work there?

The only way I know of is that you've set the ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT property
somehow at install time.
