MSDN Library when re-installing VS.NET

MSDN Library when re-installing VS.NET Andrew Jenssen

visual studio .net general: When re-installing VS.NET 2003 Academic, is it necessary to
uninstall the MSDN Library and re-install it, too? That is, can
VS.NET be uninstalled and then re-installed while leaving the
MSDN Library in place?

The question is whether the MSDN Library can be left
untouched when re-installing VS.NET and still be used
by the newly re-installed VS.NET.

If you want it integrated with VS.Net, yes.

He only asked one question, and then rephrased it.

Neither is yes. Both are predicated upon the condition I stated.

Well, I haven't tried this, but if you've reinstalled VS.Net, try going to
Tools|Options|Help|Environment and looking in the "Preferred Collection" box
to see whether it shows up. If it doesn't, reinstall the MSDN Library.
