Hello

A message box asking for another disk is displayed midway through
installation of VS 2005 . As far as I can tell there is no other disk.
platform: XP Professional with SP2.
install started via setup.exe on dvd root directory.

Sequence of Events:
Setup has detected that ms windows installer 3.1, msnet framework 2.0, msxml
6.0 parser, and ms document explorer 2005 already installed, Setup will
install the following components: ms visual studio 2005
I selected default install to drive c: which had 21 GB of free space.
Installing Components Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

the Messagebox text is as follows:
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Setup
Insert the disk: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition - ENU
Disk 2
OK Cancel

The file that the install is waiting for is Microsoft.WindowsCE.Forms.xml

I have no ENU Disk2 does one exist? remember that I am installing from DVD
titled Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition, Disc: 3070 December 2005
(MSDN Universal).
None of the other December Yellow DVDs satisfied this request
I have tried this install twice.

There are approx 598 MB of file data on the DVD, surely all files required
for VS install reside on this DVD, what is the secret here?

Has anyone seen and resolved this issue?

thanks

Someone burned the CD to a DVD. The first CD is about 600 MB, so your image
is about right. The DVD image is about 3 GB.
