With VS2005 TS Developer I am connecting to MS SQL 2000 databases in the
Server Explorer, Data Connections. When I expand a database connection I do
not see Database Diagrams or any option to create/work with database
diagrams. From the Data menu on toolbar I do not find any option to view or
add database diagrams. I am dbo on these database (and a SQL SysAdmin) and
in VS2003 I can see existing db diagrams in the same databases (I created
the existing diagrams).

Hi Brad,

As far as I know, the VS2005 Server Explorer can only show the the database
diagram for SQL Server 2005, While VS2003 shows the database diagram for
SQL Server 2000. Sorry for the inconvenience.

More than an inconvenience....that is a noteworthy drawback for developers
who support servers with sql 2000 and want to move forward with VS2005. It
assumes that developer and servers will of course all upgrade at the same
time...which isn't likely. I think someone should note this to the team
that develops/supports that tool.
