visual studio .net general:
I am trying to create a new ASP.net project using Visual Studio .Net 2002
which is installed on my XP workstation. The location of the app is to be on
my 2003 server which is running IIS and sharepoint.

When attempting to create the new project I receive the error message that
the URL and file path do not match. I have SP1 for Visual studio installed

Hi,

How did you manage before? Are you totally new to this? You state VS202
so that's a long time ago.

Right-click project and choose properties, you should see a big dialog
in the middle of the screen; what setting do you have for File Access;
e.g. "Frongpage" or "FileShare"?

What did your Server Administrator say when you explained the problem?
Are you sure the server was set up by an expert?

Who's bad idea was it to put SharePoint on the server? Did anyone
actually look into how SharePoint works, if so why did they install it?
Did anyone actually read the SharePoint documentation? Did they spot the
limitations in relation to ASP.NET? If not, why not?
