Can one build on top of the VS 2005 IDE? dblock
3/30/2006 9:13:52 AM
visual studio .net general: I would like to build an application that looks very much like SQL
Server 2005 Management Studio. I understand it is built on top of the
VS IDE.

Are base components redistributable and where/how do I start?

Thx
dB.

On 3/30/06 9:13, in article
1143738832.514326.197020@i40g2000cwc.googlegroups.com, "dblock"
[quoted text, click to view]
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/extend/

However, components are not redistributable, so your customer will need to
have VS Standard installed.

Thanks

Isn't this Tools for Applications? The site claims that there's a
redistributable IDE. Untrue? -thx
