VS 2005 setup project, fonts not installing Bryan

visual studio .net general: Hello,
I have a setup project that I have created in VS 2005. I put a true type
font into the "Fonts Folder" for the "File System on Target Machine". The
problem is that the font doesn't get installed!!!!

Is this a known issue with setup and deployment projects in VS 2005?

All other files get put into their proper places ie: shortcuts, program
files, etc....

Any help would be great!!!

Thanks, Bryan

Hi Bryan,

[quoted text, click to view]

We haven't experienced any similar known issues to this problem. I also
performed some tests on my side, there is no problem to install a font via
the VS2005 setup project's Fonts Folder, it works well with my tests. Would
you please tell me how do you put a font file into the setup project's
Fonts Folder. Since the Windows's fonts directory is not a general folder,
you cannot add the font file from it directly under VS2005 setup project,

By the way, in the case of you check the target machine's fonts folder via
Windows Explorer, If your installed file is not a valid font, you cannot
find it in the Explorer. The Windows Explorer will only display the valid
font files in that folder. In this scenario, I suggest you can use the dos
command "dir" to find it.

Thanks!

Best regards,
