When I try to open a web application project on a network share, I receive
the following error message:

Unable to read the project file 'Benchmark.vbproj'. The Web Application
Project Benchmark is configured to use IIS. Could not find the server
'http://webdev01' on the local machine.

If I try to change the project so it is using the Visual Studio Development
Server, I receive the following security error when trying to run or debug
the application:

System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type
'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.
