Can I integrate Crystal Reports into VS C# Express Edition? Clive

visual studio .net general: I'm developing a Winforms app in C# with VS Express Edition.

I already have SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition and Crystal 11 Developer
Edition but I'm wondering whether I have to upgrade VS 2005 to Standard or
Professional in order to incorporate reports?

I'd happily use either Reporting Services or Crystal, but I'm not clear
whether RS can be fully integrated into a WinForms app or whether it has to
be deployed via the web somehow?

IN VS 2005 Express I've created COM references to Crystal 11 components /
DLLs but I can't see how to pull in an existing Crystal Report developed in
the Crystal environment. (Done it before many times with VB6 in the old
VS - and have seen it done in VS.NET). I'd rather not spend more money at
this stage if I don't have to!

Help on any of these issues - much appreciated.

Have you contacted Crystal tech support for guidance/instructions on using
your full Crystal version with C# Express?
As far as the Visual Studio editions are concerned, only Professional and
above come with an abbreviated version of Crystal (v10 IIRC), so Standard
would not include Crystal.
