Check in Tools->Options->Project and Solutions->VC Directories
Make sure that for 'Show Directories for : ' Executable files is selected
and check for "$(VCInstallDir)bin". If it is not there then add "$(VCInstallDir)bin".

If you are working on a solution that has multiple projects and the visual studio is crashing or hanging (i.e upon loading of one of the projects in the solution) when trying to open the solution..

I had problem where Debug output was being 'lost' from VS2005 Output window, but it was viewable via DBMon-type programs.
Interestingly, the DLL Load messages showed (I was actually running NUnit for Unit Testing).

I had the same issue with ReSharper messing up my SHIFT+TAB shortcut... It's not possible to fix directly, as you cannot seem to use the SHIFT+TAB key in the "Press shortcut keys" textbox - this just sets focus to the previous control.

Yes, I've installed sp1 and update for vista. I am working on a local
project, not remote one.
The last crash was doing nothing: vs2005 was sleeping on backgroup with a
project opened and I was working with sql server 2005 management studio,

I've removed the setup project to reduce the dimension.

I am working on projects using two different computers with same version of
VS.Net 2005 team edition and SP1. However, one of them is missing many HTML
properties(about 40%), "nowrap" in table cell, for instance.

At present I can see that the macros are being stored in My Documents\Visual

morning) on Vista Business Edition. Please correct me, if I'm missing

Sourcecontrol allows you to get copies of the code which you edit locally
You can then Check these changes into a central repository where they are
