visual studio .net ide: Hi

I am having a bug using a dual monitor. Sometimes a second window appear, with no content. I can't resize it. Clicking o
the maximize button, maximizes the IDE and clicking on close button, closes the IDE. I can't reproduce the bug, but i
happens quite offen. It seems that this should be a hidden background window, but for some reason sometimes it become
visible. You can look at a printscreen image of my desktop (some areas are in black on purpose) at this link

http://bugtesting.tripod.com//sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/bug.jp

The only way to close this window is to close and restart IDE

Anyone knows if a fix exist??

I have had this issue along with others and it is in the newsgroup as
two other threads. A MS person is investigating it.

And

Weird hidden window in VS.Net 2003

For me if I wait long enough it disappears on it's own when system
resources free up.

I have the same problem. I don't have a fix.

I have the trouble on my Dell Inspiron 8200 Laptop (nVidia graphic card). Do
you have a similar setup? It may be a device/driver problem.

I don't have the same setup, but as far as I can see it is not a device related problem. If you take a look at the printscree
image you'll notice that when I made the screenshot, I have already closed all open documents. The caption in VS show
the name of a source file as if I have it opened. It seems that something has went really bad when this window appears. I guess the problem may arise with several designer windows opened, but I'm not sure. It also seems that this window i
for controlling all the others..

It's a bug and should be fixed..

Try using the XP "Show Desktop" quick launch shortcut. Click it once to
minimize all your windows, then click it again to restore them. That makes
this "bonus" window go away for me, but it comes back soon enough. :(

Same here.

I tried to find a reliable test case but it just appears to be random.
