what you need is a SCC pluging, google for CVS SCC and you get quite a few
hits.

This is meant to be a very good example

You need to have a CVS Proxy to talk to Microsoft's SCC interface. We have used PushOK in the past when we splurged on the Professional version of VS.Net (2002). However, due to Microsoft not allowing us to buy another 2002 license for a new Windows developer, the company has reconsidered buying the "Costly, Redundant And Pointless"(TM) programming languages that get bundled with VC++ to make the Professional version. They have made the same reasonable decision as I made when buying an IDE for my laptop to do my work there, they bought the "Visual C++ only, hold the mayo" version.
Only problem is that some bonehead at Microsoft decided it would be good idea to yank the SCC integration out of that version of the studio.

So my advice is that if you have already wasted money on the Professional version, then $20 more gets you PushOK (www.pushok.com) and CVS/Studio integration. Otherwise, try Eclipse (www.eclipse.org) or some other alternative IDE that supports both C++ and CVS.
