How is the $(TargetDir) macro generated? Jim Marks

visual studio .net ide:
I have several projects that have different values for this macro depending
on where in project's properties you look. It isn't happening consistantly
and it's driving me batty.

Anyway, if anyone could tell me how VSNet 2003 constructs the path for
$(TargetDir) it would make my life a great deal more sunny.

Thanks.

There is a bug in the $(TargetDir) and $(TargetPath) macros in VS.NET
2003 if the "Output Directory" property (on the "General" tab) contains
an absolute path.

I reported it during the VS.NET 2003 beta, but it wasn't deemed worthy
of being fixed. The good news is that it does appear to have been fixed
in the Whidbey (VS.NET 2005) beta.
