VS.NET IDE Won't Display Dialog Boxes

visual studio .net ide:

I am having a problem with VS.NET 2003 where I cannot get the Add Reference or Options dialogs to appear. It doesn't seem to matter if I try to access them through the top-level menu, right-click menu, or keyboard shortucts -- they just won't appear

This makes it VERY difficult to work with the IDE on any projects

I've tried running the VS.NET repair from the installer, and uninstalling and reinstalling completely. Neither has worked

I would REALLY appreciate some assistance with this issue

I've seen a similar problem but not specifically this incarnation. Try the
following steps and let me know if that resolves your issue:

What has most likely occurred is that the Windows Script Host has become
corrupted. All you need to do to resolve this issue is to reinstall the
Windows Script Host
