Hi,

I am encountering the following error on step 2 of the Data Adapter
Configuration Wizard:

An Unexpected error has occurred.

Error Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Call stack: at
Microsoft.VSDesigner.Data.VS.VsConnectionManager.CheckConnection(Int32
index, ProviderNameInfo nameInfo)
....
....
---------------------------------------------

I tried reinstalling VS.NET 2003 but the problem persists.

Is there a resolution to this?

Same happens in VS 2005 Beta 2

I found the cause of error. The problem arises if there is one of more
failed database connections in Server Explorer. The Wizard works fine if you
remove these connections.
