visual studio .net ide : Question about deleting form1.res file

Hi!

Just installed a brand-spanking new monitor from DELL: sweet!

Now, I went from a lower resolution to 1680x1050 (the recommended way to go).

But, the project i am working on has a small problem: Design time layout
went out of wack.

Can I delete the resource file to resolve this issue? Would I break anything?

Any ideas?

Francisco

Hi, WenYuan, Thanks for replying.
This is a weird issue: probably the design parser having a hard time with
my updating of [Windows Form Designer Generated Code].

I have side-stepped the issue: did a restore from a previous backup; and,
my design surface looks fine. Also, I am staying out of "InitializeComponent();".

I have both bad|good.cs files; if you really want to get into it.

Hi Francisco,
Thank you for your prompt reply.

I'm afraid your monitor is 16:9 screen which is different from normal
screen.
Would you mind providing us a screen shot of your issue?
You can email to v-wywang@microsoft.com. Thanks.
And if you create a new form, is it work fine in your Design surface?

If there is anything unclear, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I am glad to work with you.
Sincerely,
WenYuan

Hi Francisco,
Thanks for your reply. I got your screen shoot.

Does it work fine if you create a new Winform Project?
[quoted text, click to view]
many errors occur during Build>Build Solution...and it does not go anywhere.
Would you mind providing us the error messages if design view is not closed?
I will review it to find the root cause of this issue.
Have a good weekend.

Best Regards,
Wen Yuan
