visual studio .net ide : visual studio 2005 -- very slow index generation

After I open vs 2005, the first time I hover my mouse over the Index or
select it from the menu, it takes a very long time before it appears (30
seconds - 1 minute, or so). Is there some setting I can toggle to speed this
up?

Thanks,

I'm using the Professional Edition, and I've been filtering by Visual C#;
I'll try turning this off. My drive looks like it's due for a defrag too;
I'll do that before I leave work.

The former is not an ideal solution, however; I'd rather not see the
C++/J#/etc. entries when I'm in a C# project.

Thanks,

This happens if you have a help filter selected. If you're using an Express
Edition you can't unfilter, unfortunately. That said I wouldn't expect it to
take quite that long - is this on a slow computer, or with a slow/heavily
fragmented hard drive?

I've defragged the drive, and turned off filtering, and I just timed the
index generation at 20 seconds. This is on a 2.8 GHz Intel processor, and
