visual studio .net ide : Navigating CSS Paths in VS

Hi. If I have an ASPX page (or HTML page) in VS in a project where it's
LINKed to a CSS file, is there a way that I can select a page object on the
ASPX page and sort of have it show me how it's deriving its style information
from the CSS? I guess I'm talking about some kind of way to debug and step
into CSS. Does such a thing exist in VS?

Hi Alex,

We only provide the intellisense when you edit the CSS file directly, but
no CSS related intellisense when you edit the ASPX page or the HTML page.

I am afraid the latest version of Visual Studio IDE cannot debug into a CSS
file. But if you are really interested in these features, I highly suggest
you can submit this feedback to our product feedback center. Your comments
and concerns are of great value to us and will help in creating products
that better meet your needs

Thanks for your understanding.

Well I'm assuming that you guys at MSFT cull these Newsgroups for ideas. Hope
so anyway. So I'll just leave it at that!

Hi Alex,

Yes, as Gary has mentioned, so far VS IDE still has limited support on CSS
stylesheet's dynamic association and debugging (in page designer and
debugger). However, I'm sure our dev guys will be glad to accept such good
ideas. Actually we're continue to provide more and more rich functionality
on visual and intelligent desiging and developing for pages or other
documents. e.g, for XML /XSLT, it now support designtime intellisense and
runtime debugging.

Anyway, please feel free to share your feedback with us, that's really
greate resource for us to improve them.

Thanks for your understanding and support to us.

Best Regards,

Steven Cheng
