visual studio .net ide: All of a sudden certain keys like 'enter', 'delete' 'tab' stopped working
inside the IDE. I can only type the letters and numbers. It behaves like
some kind of mode had turned on. I tried restarting the system even
reinstalling the vs.net(2003); nothing helped.

Check to see if this is happening in other programs like notepad.

I had something similiar happen once. I was working on my laptop and every
time I hit 'e' a '9' would come out. It turns out that I had turned on the
laptop number pad which converted some keys from letters to numbers while in
that mode.

Dunno if it will help or not, but its something to think about. :)
