Hey, found a bunch of forum postings about it.. but want to know if there was
a resolution. This is about using the ReportViewer object and the Website
Data Sources window in VS2005.

I have a web site ( with many App_WebReferences ) and the Website Data
Sources window doesn't show objects.

I ran through the tutorial (
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms251692(VS.80,d=printer).aspx ) on
a new solution and everything works.

I moved that exact object class to my existing website and nothing works.
Since I can't get the assembly name and such, am I forced to create a new
assembly? Even still, I have to manually add the reference since it's not
listed in the "data sources window".

Let me know if a hotfix is available for this, I'd assume that all objects
should be listed here ( actually if that were the case, it'd be a big list..
but anyway.. )

According to your description, I understand you meet an issue that the
"Website Data Sources" window is empty in VS 2005 IDE, even though there is
an object class in the project. Please correct me, if I misunderstood
anything.

If this is the case, We are indeed sorry for any inconvenience this may
have caused.
As you have seen, this issue has been confirmed as product issue.

I have checked the bug list. Our product team is working on the issue.
Please wait me one more day. I will contact product team to check if there
is a hotfix. I will reply you here as soon as I can.

Thanks for your wait.

I have checked with product team. Hotfix has just been released. But KB
document has not been public released. Due to newsgroup policy, I could not
paste the internal kb number in public before the document has been public
released.

Would you please send me a mail? Therefore, I could provide the kb number
in reply.

The hotfix for this issue just has been released. But KB document is not
available so far.
