visual studio .net jlca:
I downloaded and installed v3 beta today and had a lot of trouble. After
installing the Convert menu did not appear. I noticed in another post that
for v2 you had to install the version that came with VSNet. So I did that,
checked and the convert menu was there.

Then I installed v3 beta again. This time the menu was there but when I
clicked it I got a class not registered error message. I then removed v3
beta, removed the v1 from the VSNet Add/Remove options.

Next I reinstalled v1 from VSNet installation. Checked and the convert menu
was there and it brought up the wizard. Next I downloaded and installed v2
JLCA. Checked and the convert menu was there and it brought up the wizard.
Finally I installed the v3 beta again and now everything works.

So in summary if you've never installed JLCA, do so from the original VSNet
install first. Then install the v2 JLCA and finally install the v3 JLCA.
That's what I had to do to get it to work. It really shouldn't be this hard,
but it seems to be.

Hi -

Pl make sure that you have installed JLCA 3.0 Beta after
installing Visual Studio .NET 2003 with the option of
installing Java Language Conversion Assistant checked.
This option is available under C#.Else you would have to
perform the following steps
1) Uninstall the JLCA 3.0
2) Re-run the Visual Studio .NET 2003 and be sure you
enable the Java Language Conversion Assistant under C#.
3) Re-install the JLCA 3.0.
