visual studio .net setup: Hi,

I tried to install vs.net framework on my notebook with windows xp
professional, but getting the same error everytime.
Error 1935 error during installation of assembly of componenets...
I didn't have any beta version before. I have also uninstall all
componenets and tried to reinstall but still having the same problem.
I have also removed .dll file as per microsoft website and tried to
reinstall vs.net again but still having the same problem.

I've just answered to a similar issue, so I'll extract something from that
message...

Generally speaking this error could be due to a bad media reading or bad
media itself (media is intended CD\DVD, but also downloaded files, for
example).

Have you already tried to copy CD
contents on HD, by using XCopy as indicated by

Supposing a bad media failure, please follow suggestions of
318945 FIX: Visual Studio .NET and MSDN Files Corrupted During Installation

such as:
- try to install from the network
- disable DMA
- look for CD-ROM manufacturer firmware updates


Moreover, are you using your original media, or a backup copy you made for
yourself?


Please consider that your problem could be solved by completely removing all
the .NET components, which are currently (and badly configured) on your
machine, in order to restore previous machine status.
You said you've already done it: have you followed these articles?
