visual studio .net setup: I recently purchased a book titled "Programming with
Microsoft Visual C++.net" and it comes with Visual studio
on a cd. When I insert the cd my computer will not read
it. Its a dvd rom and this book would basicly be usless
without it.

You may try a different machine to see if another DVD-Rom drive will read
the CD. If so, and you can see that other machine from your computer, you
may try sharing out the drive and then installing from the shared resource.


You might check to see if you could return the book and obtain a new copy
of the book to get a new copy of the software.
