visual studio .net setup: Hi all! :O)

Problem : I getting this message when I launch the VS.NET Setup (disk 1).
Cause (I think) : I got a blackout when I first tried to install it... it
cut approximatively at 40% of the installation of the disk 1..
Solution : Looking for it... Any one has an idea?! (I hope I won't have to
format.. i have a too short dead line..)

Thanks for any help

Yanick,

What happens if you try running the installation from another CD/DVDROM
drive (if possible)? Also, do you have the capability of creating an
administrative installation of the product on another machine (see
readme.htm on CD1)? It sounds like there may be something wrong with your
CD/DVDROM...

Thanks Alden, I'll try these two solutions.

What's confusing me is that it did start the first time I ran the install
program and using the same disk and cd drive...

I'm no hardware guru, but the blackout you mentioned in your original post
got me thinking that you might be experiencing hardware-related problems.
Also the fact that setup is failing immediately... this is a strong clue.

Let us know what happens.

Good luck,
