Yo,

I'm running VS.NET 2003 trial edition and it keeps
crashing when I try to execute even a simple program. I'm
told this is because my processor is an inadequate 98-lb.
weakling AMD Duron, and I should upgrade to Athlon XP. Any
truth to this? OS is W2000SP3 with 512 RAM.

Hello

Haven't heard of anything about the AMD Duron not liking VS.Net. Do you
have an error message when it is crashing? We have seen several reasons
for the IDE to crash when running a simple application. Some include the
Script Blocking feature of Anti-Virus or Firewall software. If you are on
Windows XP, you can use the msconfig.exe utility to help troubleshoot the
issue.

You can also check video settings as there have been issues where the video
has caused the crash.
