visual studio .net setup : New User Account ASP.NET Machine A...

Just installed Visual Studio.Net, .Net Framework 1.1, and
Visual Basic.Net 2003. All went perfectly.
However there is a new User Acct called ASP.Net Machine
A..., limited, & password protected, making me select my
own Acct at startup.
I am the Admin and only person using my Win XP Home
machine. Is there any reason to have this new "User Acct"
on my system? Is this User Acct used for anything in
learning VB.Net, VS.Net, or for anything since I am the
Adm? And is it needed at all since I am using Win-XP Home
and do not have IIS or my machine?
Thanks for your help

The user account is created for security purposes, so that the ASP .NET
worker process does not have any administrative rights on your system. As
far as I know, having this account on your machine allows you to run ASP
.NET webservices through IIS (which you don't have installed). I don't
know the ramifications of removing the account. However, to get around
having to select your account at startup, you can install the XP TweakUI
Powertoy at

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

TweakUI provides a setting in "Logon -> Autologon" for you to specify an
autologon account.

Hope this helps,
