Hi Raffaele.
1 - Install without ACT - Successful.
2 - Install ACT - Failed with the same result.
Could not configure security settings for Application Center Test.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott,
Just as a test, please run a first installation without checking
"Applications Center Test" option and let us know if the rest of VS.NET
installs correctly. After a successful installation of the package, you will
install "Applications Center Test" separately.

HTH and bye,

In researching additional security related symptoms, I found the
solution to my problem at
http://radio.weblogs.com/0106046/stories/2002/08/13/resolutionForIeAndWindowsProblems.html

This article contains a link to Microsoft Article Q274696 @
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q274696

Basically, you need to use Dcomcnfg.exe to correct Default access
permissions for Default Security to Include the SYSTEM and INTERACTIVE
users, with "Type of Access" set to "Allow Access" .
In my situation, these settings were already done, so I removed all
users and then re-established the SYSTEM and INTERACTIVE id's as
directed.

Application Center Test now installs properly and all other problems
described in the Article are fixed.
