visual studio .net setup: I have been trying to run the setup for Visual Studio .NET and it is giving
me the error that I dont have the correct prerequisites where can i get these

It's not an error. It's a prompt for the Prerequisites CD.
A Prerequisites CD ships as part of the Visual Studio .NET 2003 (all
editions) product.
What is the source of your Visual Studio? If MSDN download, download the
prerequisites ISO. If you got a packaged product that does not include the
Prerequisites CD, go back to your supplier for the missing part or full
replacement.

Alternately, you can do a Windows update on your PC. It should update your
PC to the latest pre-requisites.
