visual studio .net setup: Hello,

I wonder if anyone has came across this problem or knows of
a solution.

I have installed VS . NET 2003 as it came on the 6 CD's.

I wish to install the Pocket PC 2003 SDK. I comence the setup
and away it goes.

Everytime it gets to a point before completing where a dos
console window pops up (looks like it's registering some files
or somehting) and says a buffer overrun has happened and this
program cannot complete.

The file name it provides is cscript.exe I believe.

It's very annoying because Smartphone SDK has installed and
works flawlessly.

What could be the problem?

It sounds like I've been having the exact same difficulty as Adam with
installing Pocket PC 2003 SDK. Part way through the installation a DOS
command window pops up and instantly another window pops up stating a
buffer overrun has been detected --> program:
c\windows\system32\cscript.exe. Just before all of this Norton Anti-Virus
detects a possible problem but I always choose to let the program continue
on it's way. Any help would be glady appreciated. Thanks.

I have tried to disabled Norton but that does not help....

A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the progam's
internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must
now be terminated.

I've just formatted my pc and reinstalled both Windows XP and Visual studio
..net....but I still get the same message...

I need help!
