visual studio .net setup : vsnet 2003 Setup Internal Error 2349

I have problems installing the VSNET 2003 on W2K Pro SP4 workstation, with it failing with the Internal Error 2349 when installing it from the CD. Had read earlier posting suggesting that this was a issue with the CD media being prehaps corrupted. But the same is true after having xcopied the cd contents onto the harddisk as explained in this article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;822355

Can someone please help me in finding out what is going wrong ?

Hello

If you could, can you forward a verbose log of the installation.

Start > Run and type %temp% and then click Ok
Locate the file vsmsilog*.txt
Compress and send

Hi

I am also getting Internal Error 2349, trying to install VS Pro on W2K SP4

I have a DVD, but have disabled it because of other advice found on the Net. I have AVG anti-virus, also stopped to install. I have tried the install CD's on another machine, and they work fine. I have several GB's free on C: and D: and have tried installing in both locations

I have both log files that look relevant, and tried to email them to you, but it was returned (645K zipped); I can't see how they can be attached to this reply, but if you can provide an email address to send them to, I certainly can if it helps. I sure would appreciate some assistance
